Some oversights and problems dampened this event:
Rectify/add to this:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_14_release_party_gcect
Almost the whole of the event organization was done by GCECT students
including Fedora contributors.
The initial organization was good.
The number of participants was high (100+)
Event Publicity level: low
The auditorium selected was an old fashioned one with nothing to write
on ... fairly inappropriate.
Punctuality ?!
Main PC for Fedora Install Demo : Fried apparently due to electricity (?)
Projector became dysfunctional after that.
(I arrived much later for my talk, so did not see. )
Possible reasons: Power surge despite UPS
Box was moved while the PC was in operation
So all speakers had to speak. ...if at all.
I had to reduce a 50 min talk to ~10 min because of the nature of the
topic (had a headache in addition).
Rahul Ghose and Prabin spoke well
Stephanie did not deliver her talk.
audience interaction was good.

For college events some of the senior ambassadors should check the
logistics and infrastructure in person.
