Hi -
I have an USB drive formatted as readonly ISO9660 . I need to reformat
it . I have tried normal mkfs. But they failed saying "read-only
filesystem" . Then tried gparted, Its also not working, seems like not
even detecting usb. Running from command line "parted -l" says-
Warning: Unable to open /dev/sr1 read-write (Read-only file
system). /dev/sr1
has been opened read-only.
Error: /dev/sr1: unrecognised disk label
Any thoughts?
How do you format a drive as "read only"? When my usb showed this
behaviour, it had meant that the drive had gone bad.
