Hi, my name is Hristo Marinov and I live in Sofia, Bulgaria. I'm currently working in optical disc manufacturing, where I implement different roles including machinery maintenance, software applications development, network and system administration. I also develop web applications, that I host on my own servers. I look forward to joining the Fedora community and contributing to this project. Good Evening together! I want to give a short introduction my person after joining Fedora Join SIG. My name is Andi Artz, 31 years old (male), living in Germany. I am married happily with my hussy. Myself I have ADHD and Asperger-Autism and other stuff xD But this would be too long to list them all up :D I am a Freelancer and I am working as a Tutor/Teacher and doing some IT stuff. The way to Fedora community is not really new tbh. I have started using Fedora 28 and I have been really impressed about the community and Fedora as an OS itself. Unfortunatly, maybe other know it as well I started distro-hopping. Luckily, last year I started using Fedora 33 again due a very good friend of mine. After participating on this years F34 release party, I have felt encouraged to started participating on Fedora. In Fedora I am also in the brand new F34 i3-spin group and testing the spin and sharing my upcoming ideas or reporting bugs. Another group is Fedora Podcast, Fedora D&I Team, Fedora QA. Hi, I'm Nattes living in Geneva, Switzerland. I am half French and half British, and currently working at the University of Geneva in a service dedicated to dual careers in order to facilitate retention of women academics and researchers. I made my first steps in the free software movement by setting up workshops to teach women how to contribute to Wikipedia during a mandate I had from the University's Diversity and Inclusion office. I still teach this in a 4 year assignment at the Gender Studies department financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation. I am very passionate about issues concerning the gender gap and promoting inclusion, as well as helping newbies to find their own way in complex and sometimes not very friendly projects. I am very interested in the way Fedora is doing this, with a clear defined process and very admirative of the Fedora Badges. I have had a few friends telling me how "fedorable" this community was, but since I was invited at the Fedora week of diversity last October, I have felt very shy because I am not a coder. Someone proposed that I translate docs, and I first I thought it would be pretty boring for an unpaid activity. But then as I do want to use free software more, and learn Python, I thought I could manage a win win approach by first translating documents that a newbie would stumble upon when joining your community. Apart from that I love reading (sci fi and feminist stuff above all), swimming and kayak, and playing Animal Crossing. I look forward to knowing more about Fedora!

Use of ask.fp.o

Hi team, Well, here is the question, I love ask.fp.o, I think it is a great way to ask for help, but it looks to me like discussion.fp.o has parts where people is..., well, using it as ask.fp.o should be used. Look [1] and [2]. They look to me as questions for ask.fp.o. So maybe something is not well defined maybe? I think discussion.fp.o was more intended to be used like community communication, like a new kind of ML; but maybe I'm wrong. Wdyt? Hello, My name is Barry Griffin, I am based in Cork, Ireland. I have been an I.T. professional for the last 15 years, working primarily as a Network Engineer but I have worked in a startup company where I got was involved in a wide variety of projects so have experience in Windows Server, AWS, Citrix. Introductions

Hello everyone! My name is Trevor and I'm introducing myself here with the hope of getting involved in the Fedora project! I guess I will share a bit about myself. I am a student of computer engineering and German language in California. As far as occupational interests go, I like to follow RISC-V, Linux (of course), and Rust. Outside of that, I'm into some outdoors stuff like mountain biking and camping and am a big volleyball fan (mostly indoor). Early on in my studies I was introduced to Linux and have an enthusiastic user for the past few years. I've done my fair share of distro-hopping, but in the past few months, I gave Fedora Linux a go and was very impressed. The release of Fedora 34 got me especially excited and I decided I'd like to give back. I'd be happy to help in any way I can! I'd be especially interested in testing, packaging, or development work. As far as skills the project might find useful, I'm most comfortable in C, Rust, and Python and I have some experience with security/cryptography and embedded systems (maybe useful to Fedora IoT?). Still, I don't profess to be an expert in any of these things, and I am hoping to learn more alongside my contributions. I look forward to meeting some of you all! Trevor McKay tm(a)trmckay.com

Hi. New to Fedora 34, and looking to help in documentation, cloud and/or cloud infrastructure I have more than 20 years experience in corporate IT, from help desk to infrastructure management, and project management. I am not a developer. I used the documentation extensively, so I would like to join a documentation team. I'm also working through The Linux Foundation courses on system administration, containerization and containerization management, monitoring, and service mesh infrastructure for microservices. I'd like to maybe watch a few of those areas. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks. Tom Cummings

Help with Nyxt and libfixposix packaging

Hello Fedora community! I'm not a Fedora user but I'd like to create a Fedora .rpm for Nyxt (https://nyxt.atlas.enginner) since it's been requested many times. The only issue I'm hitting so far is that the libfixposix package (https://github.com/sionescu/libfixposix -- a simple C library) is missing from Fedora. What would you recommend? - Is it possible to file a package request? How much time should we expect before it reaches Rawhide? Could the current stable version (34) benefit from it, or would we have to wait until the next stable release? - Otherwise, if I have to provide libfixposix myself, would you recommend that I - embed it in the Nyxt .rpm? - or release a separate .rpm for libfixposix, then have the Nyxt .rpm depend on it?
