Help wanted for Fedora Docs

Hello, I'm Padmaja Bhol, an Outreachy'22 summer applicant. I was looking forward to contributing to the fedora-docs team. I'm currently on a Fedora Linux system, and I have opened a beginner-friendly pull request for the fedora server. You can have a look here: https://pagure.io/fedora-server/pull-request/81 I went through the HackMD document, which thoroughly described the outreachy proposal put forward by the docs team, and I wanted some insight into what they are expecting on the docs main page. I believe it's essential for me to understand the standard layout before I put forward a proposal. I'm not familiar with a mailing list, so is there a way I can contact the mentors- Ben Cotton and Vipul Siddarth, about the same? Thanks.

Introduction/Getting in contact with leadership

Hello! My name is Sung Jun and I'm a student and a hobbyist programmer. I've been using Linux on and off for about 6 years now, starting with Ubuntu derivatives on my poor old Pavilion laptop. I've also been programming, mainly with Java and Python, for around the same time. I'm unfortunately not planning to directly contribute to the Fedora project. However, I would like to potentially explore the Fedora project as for my coursework, which requires me to do primary market research from an organization. I wasn't sure what was the best channel for such inquiries, but I figured fedora-join could be appropriate. I'd like to get in touch and arrange interviews with the Fedora leadership (Fedora council, engineering committee, and/or mindshare committee), as well as surveys amongst willing contributors at large as part of coursework requirements. The coursework is to be completed by next fall - so they are at liberty to select a time as they see fit, while being mindful of their other obligations. However, I'd like to get something arranged by April 4th, when the research proposal is due. So, please help me get in contact with the right people. Thank you for helping me out. Hello, I'm a senior computer science student currently wrapping up my last semester. I've speicalized in cybersecurity in my coursework, but at the cost of not doing as much programming as I'd really like in order to stay sharp. I've been using Fedora on my laptop for most of the semester after looking for a Linux distro that fell in line with what I want, and I fell in love with using it. I'm looking to contribute to the project really in whatever way I can. This will be my first time contributing to an open source project (or really anything that isn't for school), so I'm at a loss as to where I should start. Sincerely, Trever Melehan

Hello everyone, I've been a Linux user since about 2000 when a friend installed Mandrake for me and I've at least dual-booted ever since. I became a consistent Fedora user starting around version 4 when it was still called Fedora Core. I'm excited by the idea of finally giving back. At work I do mostly sysadmin and devops work, but I get a lot of enjoyment out of coding too. I'm still getting around to reading all the documentation on contributing, but if anyone has advice about maintaining packages or other backend work that keeps the quality of the distribution high, I am all ears. -- Benjamin J. Hello Team, I am Nishant Mishra , I am a long time Linux Enthusiast starting in 2014 , My First Linux Distribution was Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and I have never looked back. I want to contribute code for the Fedora Workstation Group as I want to learn the workings of a Distribution Devlopment Group. My Current Daily Driver is Fedora 35 Workstation and I am an aspiring SystemAdmin. I am skilled in Python,C++,C. Looking Forward to working with this beautiful community ! Fedora community, Hello, I'm looking to get into contributing to the Fedora project since I am using it as my main OS. I have experience doing all sorts of things with software, such as development, testing, package maintenance, release coordination, configuration management, cloud, and infrastructure automation.
