Hello Everyone

Hello everyone! My name is Pavlos Papadopoulos in the eastern time zone of the Europe. I have roughly 17 years working with computers and using linux. Professionally, I've been working as RedHatCertified senior systems unix and storage engineer for the last 15 years I also Designing, implementing and hardening systems for multimillion euro infrastructures on large scale customers and SAN infrastructures. I am also a great problem solver and i like to manage issues. I have also experience on devops infra operations like automation with very known tools as Ansbile and Salt. I'm using Fedora distro as my main operating system the last 12 years i was started with version 14 and other linux distos before fedora. I'm living in Athens Greece and i have also as a hobby cycling and playing guitar. Thanks for having me! - Pavlos

Hello everyone! My name is Tom Black (yetimaan) in the eastern time zone of the USA. I have roughly 20 years working with computers and using linux. Professionally, I've been working as a front end web developer for 14 years and also doing team lead work with big enterprise-level companies like Walmart, Sam's Club, Ford Motor Company, White Cloud, and J. B. Hunt Transport. Would you believe the first linux distro I tried was Red Hat 9 in 2002? :D I also got a RHEL Certification around 2008-ish when RHEL 4 was heavily used. After spending the past 14 years (and counting) on closed-source web applications, I'd like to give some of my time to the project so I can help the community and make my work more public. I've narrowed my initial interest in the infra: Web and Apps work as I have a strong background working with UX/Creative (Sass) and FE JS frameworks like Angular, React, and jQuery, but I'm also open to packaging. I'm raising one daughter, two dogs, and three fish. Obsessed with mountain biking and pretty much rubber to the trails when it's nice out. Thanks for having me! - Tom

"Validate Releases" and "Test Updates" are basically sub-tasks of "QA Testing". To get started with QA in general, head over to the Fedora Test mailing list https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test@lists.fedoraproject.org/ and send a Self Introduction. We're in the planning/development phase for Fedora Linux 36, so validation isn't currently in progress, but you can start testing updates now simply by enabling `updates-testing` on your systems and providing feedback to updates using the Bodhi https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/ system. ((That front page has links to "critical path" and security updates which really need attention. Often these updates have linked bugs and test cases which you can make sure are resolved. (This is a nice way to earn some Fedora Badges, too: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/in-search-of-the-bull-tester-i) For the SIGs... if you're an XFCE user, _and_ really want to dive into something where you have a lot of freedom but also a lot of everything is up to you, that's probably a good one. That's because the XFCE spin is a side project of one or two other interested people, and hasn't had a lot going on. I'm sure they'd appreciate the help, but there isn't a lot of obvious structure to plug into. The Server SIG is a little more organized, with active meetings and membership in a formal Server Working Group. Hello! My name is Lilith, and I am currently a grad student. I have been using Linux on desktop for around a decade, and am looking to contribute to the community and help support a great project. This is my first time contributing to a FOSS project, so I am hoping to find a simple place to get started and become familiar with the general process of contributing here. I think I would like to contribute to documentation or qa, but if there is a better place for new contributors to start out, please let me know.

Hi! I'm new and wanted to introduce myself. I've been using Fedora for several years and would like to give back. I've been using Linux off and on for 20 years. I did some BASIC programing on my TI-99 4/A home computer when I was kid. I never did anymore programming though. <insert excuse here> I've been in I.T. one way or another for over 25 years. Yes, I'm older but not "Get off my lawn" old. 🙂 I've worked on hardware at IBM for 15 years, (don't hold that against me), then followed my passion and became a Linux Administrator. I'm currently learning Ansible. In my spare time I play video games, gardening, DIY, and make delicious BBQ on my smoker. I'm open to learning new things.
