Reviewing partner wanted
by Sebastian Dyroff
Hi,
I am Sebastian and I'd like to get wiki2beamer into fedora. I already
built a package for it see Bug #851891. Currently I review packages of
other maintainers in order to get a sponsor.
If you are also working on joining the packager group and want me to
review your package or review my package just drop me a mail. Maybe we
can learn from each other.
Regards
Sebastian

Hello again! Anyone here needs help getting started?
by Ankur Sinha
Hi folks,
The mailing list has been a little quiet of late. I've seen quite a few
new subscriptions though and was wondering if anyone needed assistance
getting started?
Please do not hesitate to mail to the list. The purpose of the list is
to help new comers looking to contribute to fedora.
If you do not e-mail the list with your queries, we'll never really know
that you need help (we aren't psychic, yet ;) ). We don't randomly send
out e-mails with information since such e-mails don't cover queries from
newcomers generally. (other than these nudges I send out once in a
while).
Please also remember that we have an IRC channel: #fedora-join on
Freenode[1] where you can come talk to us in person. There are chances
that we aren't active on the IRC at times (time zones and the rest), so
if you don't get any responses on the channel, please use the mailing
list.
We look forward to hearing from more folks.
Anyway, welcome to Fedora!

I am a regular user of Fedora and want to contribute. I am a college
student majoring in Computer Science. My knowledge of code is not that
extensive, but it will get better as the semesters go on. I was looking
into the Ambassador Project and thinking about being a Campus Ambassador.
Are these things that a full-time college student would be able to handle?
If not, are there any other areas that I could contribute?

Information on how to join the fedora project
by Nikhil Varghese
I am a regular user of fedora and I would like to join the fedora
project. I have basic knowledge of C, C++ and Java (in case that may be
necessary).
This is the first project that I would like to contribute to, in other
words, i do not have previous experience contributing to any open
source project.
My interests are:
- programming
- web development
or perhaps i could help with bugs.
As of now, I have joined the fedora-join mailing list.
Can anyone please tell me where to start off helping with the project.

[Fwd: Self-Introduction: Thomas Denham]
by Thomas Denham
Hi, my name is Thomas Denham and I live in the United Kingdom. My Fedora
Account System (FAS) username is tmfdenham, I am new to IRC and would
like help getting started!
I am a desktop user of Fedora (17) and
feel passionately about the benefits of Linux (Fedora) as an OS and
predominantly FOSS.
My main interests lie in Marketing and would love to eventually become
an ambassador of Fedora.
I have had some limited experience of marketing in my day job and chair
a forum for 30 or so people in relation to my full time job which is all
about bringing people together. I have produced posters/flyers and had
to promote various projects.
A couple of goals I have for the Fedora Project are a marked increase in
uptake by the general computing population, and a clearer, wider
understanding of the importance of FOSS etc. In my area it is relatively
unheard of and I would like some support in marketing to as many people
as possible in a clear non-to-technical way.
I hope that I can begin to get actively involved in this community!
Please help me get started!
Kind Regards,
Thomas Denham
