Lukas
I have a working MySQL plugin we devised for a customer. I am happy to pick this up and
provide a fixed plugin.
It could take a couple of months to refactor into your package structure and style but
happy to provide it.
I don't want to duplicate effort though if this is something being done by the core
RHQ team.

Subject: Re: MySQL Connections
Hi Javier,
the MySQL plugin in RHQ is experimental and not finished. For example it lacks
the auto-discovery ability and the problem you describe is another
manifestation of the "state" of the plugin.
If you were willing to modify the plugin and fix the problem you're seeing (or
even add some features that you are currently missing from it), we'd be more
than happy to accept your contribution. Please read
http://rhq-project.org/display/RHQ/Contributions to find out how to contribute
to RHQ.
Alternatively, please raise a bug report so that we can track this problem and
fix it in some future release. We're using the Red Hat bugzilla for bug
tracking:

Thanks,
Lukas

Hi
I'm having a problem with RHQ and MySQL plugin. As RHQ
monitors MySQL, the number of connection in MySQL grow. It happens until
MySQL max connections is reached. Then MySQL doesn't accept more
connection.
How can I avoid this growth of connections in MySQL?
Best regards,
Javier
