The main problem with the G5 is lack of support for LE and virt.
If Power as an architecture is going to survive at all (which is *not*, IMHO, a sure thing), then it looks like only ppc64le will matter, so that's what I mainly need to be using.

In theory, all powerpc processors are able to work in little endian mode. I bricked my powerbook g3 playing with this parameter in the openfirmware.
