thanks to the work the community does on porting the Chromium browser
to ppc64le, we can have also the qt5-qtwebengine library available.
Currently there are ~20 packages that are excluded on ppc64le due the
unavailability of the webengine.
My "talos" COPR repository contains now the main qt5-qtwebengine
package, pyqtwebengine bindings for Python and also the qmapshack app.
Building calibre fails in a test, investigating now. If there are other
apps you would like to be made available, let me know.
The plan is to merge the ppc64le support into the official Fedora rpms,
but it can take some time and depends on support from the maintainers of
the QT stack.
Hi Dan, sorry for the delay in answering, yes I can tell you that the card has always worked regularly on all the Fedora that I have used up to now ie 31, 32, and 33, without any kind of problem. Similarly it works on all versions I've tried of Debian and Ubuntu without Pulse Audio. So I think so, since you switched to Pipewere see, the card has stopped working and so I'm sure the problem lies in the new Pipewere sound system ... Can you do something? I think it will be difficult to receive numerous reports as this card is very expensive and little used in general and that is why I report the anomaly because I am afraid that if it is not solved immediately, it will end up not working anymore in any distro being that all sooner or later they will pass on Pipewere ...
Hi Fedora Community, I am writing to you months later to let you know about a bad bug on Fedora 34 on Power. Meanwhile, I also stress to you, as certainly many have already done, that Fedora 34 on Power runs really badly, you can't look at how bad it is, with all due respect but it's terrible sorry. But the worst thing is that probably due to Pulse Audio, anyone with a sound card can no longer turn up the volume. I have a RME HDSPE-AIO and I can tell you that with Fedora 34 I no longer have the possibility to turn up the volume and therefore I have to use the integrated audio. Fedora had never had this problem, but obviously the fault lies with the new Pulse ... Can you please see what it is? Thank you
