Javier,
I've just imported a Ubuntu 8.04 i386 CD. Although the import works
great (is it supposed to, or are we just supporting Debian?): it imports
the tree, creates a distro with the correct kernel/initrd and creates a
profile, tied to the sample preseed.
However, it's not appending the preseed url to the kernel parameters
list. How do you suggest I get the system booting straight into the
installer with it's associated preseed-file?
Jasper

The Ubuntu code is supposed to work, though is slightly different from
the Debian bits. I think we need to test both.
Good catch on the parameters. Previously folks doing Ubuntu were
leaving it --breed=redhat and using kickstart=, and supplying a
"kickseed" file.
Have not personally tried that though I was told it worked. If they
take slightly different syntax, we ideally would ship one in
/var/lib/cobbler/kickstarts
as we do with the sample preseed.
Another longer term thing would be adding snippets that available for
Red Hat based distros only so things work the same.
