I'm importing a number of distros:
• Fedora 15
• Fedora 17
• CentOS 6.3
When running cobbler distro report, I'm seeing mostly what I'd expect as the OS
version (fedora15 for F15, rhel6 for CentOS 6.3 - but generic26 for F17):
Fedora 15:
Name : Fedora-15-i386
Architecture : i386
TFTP Boot Files : {}
Breed : redhat
Comment : fedora15.1
Fetchable Files : {}
Initrd : /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/Fedora-15-i386/images/pxeboot/initrd.img
Kernel : /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/Fedora-15-i386/images/pxeboot/vmlinuz
Kernel Options : {}
Kernel Options (Post Install) : {}
Kickstart Metadata : {'tree':
'http://@@http_server@@/cblr/links/Fedora-15-i386'}
Management Classes : []
OS Version : fedora15
Owners : ['admin']
Red Hat Management Key : <<inherit>>
Red Hat Management Server : <<inherit>>
Template Files : {}
CentOS 6.3:
Name : CentOS-6.3-x86_64
Architecture : x86_64
TFTP Boot Files : {}
Breed : redhat
Comment : rhel6.3
Fetchable Files : {}
Initrd : /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/CentOS-6.3-x86_64/images/pxeboot/initrd.img
Kernel : /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/CentOS-6.3-x86_64/images/pxeboot/vmlinuz
Kernel Options : {}
Kernel Options (Post Install) : {}
Kickstart Metadata : {'tree':
'http://@@http_server@@/cblr/links/CentOS-6.3-x86_64'}
Management Classes : []
OS Version : rhel6
Owners : ['admin']
Red Hat Management Key : <<inherit>>
Red Hat Management Server : <<inherit>>
Template Files : {}
But for Fedora 17:
Name : Fedora-17-x86_64
Architecture : x86_64
TFTP Boot Files : {}
Breed : redhat
Comment :
Fetchable Files : {}
Initrd : /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/Fedora-17-x86_64/images/pxeboot/initrd.img
Kernel : /var/www/cobbler/ks_mirror/Fedora-17-x86_64/images/pxeboot/vmlinuz
Kernel Options : {}
Kernel Options (Post Install) : {}
Kickstart Metadata : {}
Management Classes : []
OS Version : generic26
Owners : ['admin']
Red Hat Management Key : <<inherit>>
Red Hat Management Server : <<inherit>>
Template Files : {}
I have a script to perform the imports - so its mostly the same call... Any ideas why OS
version is coming in as generic26 versus being fedora17??? I not the comment is also blank
as well for the Fedora 17 import...
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks!
Flossy
