You also should check the release notes for 2.6 and especially the upgrade
notes.
Ok thanks, I did a bunch of google’n, reading cobbler version
manuals, etc
and couldn’t find any definitive answer on this.
Thanks again!!
PS I’ll post back and let the list know if I encounter anything and
remediation if necessary.

When I have upgraded in the past it upgrades the current config. It also
backs up the config before upgrade; I think under /var/log/cobbler/backups.
If you are worried you can tar up /etc/cobbler and /var/lib/cobbler
beforehand.
If your cobbler server is a VM, you could snapshot it before upgrading :)
rpm -ql cobbler will give you an idea of what to backup before you upgrade
cobbler.
Don't forget cobbler-web if you have that.

Is it as easy as yum update cobbler cobbler-web? I’d rather not have to
rebuild or install a new server for this.

Guys I haven’t found any clear guide to upgrade from 2.4.4 to 2.6.3 is
there a doc or guide out there, or something?
Cheers
Curt
