Hi I've gone through the FUEL program conducted for Hindi language and felt how important it is for localization & how it aims at solving the problems of inconsistency and lack of standardization in computer software translation across the platform for all indic languages. So I'm interested in doing so for Oriya language standardization. Need some guidance from community.

That would be great. I believe that translations for many of the words could be obtained from the GNOME glossary, the OpenOffice glossary, and the new dictionary prepared by Srujanika.

Can translations from those 3 sources be merged into a new fuel_or_IN release ?

You are right, most of the words can be covered from the above glossaries, only thing is that Gnome glossary is not updated since long time . Still we can follow those. Definitely it will save some time.
Thanks Manoj

Thanks for the initiative!
It will better to first see the current status of desktop translation. Doing this will be helpful to understand the level of the problem of standardization. eg. You can see the files of Hindi.
