I haven't yet looked at the earlier discussions. In any case, wouldn't
the Wiktionary
project <

There is also OmegaWiki <
http://www.omegawiki.org/Meta:Main_Page>, which
was started to address many issues of Wiktionary (like so much manual
effort for templates per each language.) I would advocate for OmegaWiki.
