Hi
Doesn't look like a cobbler issue. Initrd is the ram disk image that
contains kernel drivers for the hardware. I suspect you are missing a
driver for your hardware. In these instances I would boot off a standard
OS iso and see if you can get into rescue mode. Also you should try
centos 7.2 which is the latest version, and maybe centos 6.7 which is
very mature now and more likely to accommodate different hardware
combinations than centos 7, which is still pretty new.

Hello *,
I have a strange problem while trying to kickstart a Fujitsu Primergy
RX200 S8 with cobbler to install CentOS 7. My cobbler instance came
with Spacewalk 2.4, which I use to install and manage our CentOS
systems. Generally automatic installation of CentOS 6 and 7 works very
well with many VMware VMs and some hardware based systems.
Last week I had to reinstall two of our rare Fujitsu Primergys and was
booting them from ISO image, which I build with „cobbler buildiso
…" command. Unfortunatelly the system suddenly resets itself quite
early during the installation phase. The last output I can see on the
srceen is the following:
[ OK ] Started dracut initqueue hook.
Starting dracut pre-mount hook...
[ OK ] Started dracut pre-mount hook.
[ OK ] Reached target initrd Root File System.
Starting Reload Configuration from the Real Root…
[ OK ] Started Reload Configuration from the Real Root.
[ OK ] Reached target Initrd File Systems.
Starting dracut mount hook…
[ 19.353791] EXT4-fs (dm-0): mounted filesystem with ordered data
mode. Opts: (null)
[ OK ] Started dracut mount hook.
[ OK ] Reached target Initrd Default Target.
Than the system makes a reset and boots again …
Could anybody tell me, at which state of the boot process this happens
and evt. give me a hint what could be the reason for the reset.
Many thanks in advance.
