I am trying to replace a really old pxe based provisioning environment we
have here and trying to evaluate cobbler which looks like fits our needs.
I have been unable to initiate the build though using cobbler and just to
point out that I won't be using the cobbler server to provide dhcp. We
have another dhcp server that takes care of this. Here is my setup:
Client & Server on the same vlan for testing purposes. If it all works I
usually add a helper address in our switches for clients on other vlans to
reach our provisioning server. I have setup cobbler and added the
repository for RHEL64 and a new client but can't seem to get the client to
install. The client gets a dhcp address but then gives me the following
error message:
