Now I'm puzzled... I don't want to boot live CD from Cobbler like
it's described on this link. I want to have a CD, which I can put
into a machine, boot it, and livecd will connect to cobbler and
start automated installation. So, LiveCD will only replace the
dhcp/PXE part. Is that possbile?
Yes, the cobbler netboot ISO does exactly this.
Try from cli "cobbler buildiso" and it will by default build an ISO with
all your profiles and systems on it.
Redhat, suse and ubuntu/debian are all properly supported by the
buildiso code.
Nice I tried this one. I have one problem though.
In file:
/var/cache/cobbler/buildiso/isolinux/isolinux.cfg
there is a kernel append line:
append initrd=1.img
ks=http://127.0.0.1:80/cblr/svc/op/ks/profile/CentOS-5-x86_64
ksdevice=bootif lang= kssendmac text
As you can see http server is stated incorrectly.
I've tried with cobbler dumpvars, and then edit, but I cannot change the
http_server variable, which points to 127.0.0.1...
