I'd start with /var/log/cobbler/cobbler.log. You'll see a much better
description of what is going on.
To add to this slightly, the last time I ran into this message was
that I did not have the LDAP module for python installed. Then after
that, it was SSL/TLS errors if you've enforced secure communications.

I verified that I do have the following rpms installed:
python-ldap-2.2.0-2.1
python-ldaphelper-1.0.1-1
Is there an additional rpm that needs to be installed?
When I tried to login using the web interface, it just comes back and displays the
id/password box again.
