Failing to import rhel7 iso
by W. Miah
Hello,
I am trying to create a rhel7 distro in cobbler and am getting the
following Python stack trace:
root@hostname # cobbler import --name=rhel70-x86_64 --arch=x86_64

In cobbler.log it says that rpms have "failed verification" and the "update
discarded". Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: [cobbler] Is this possible with Cobbler?
by Steven Edwards
Thank you for the thorough explanation, Alan.
Is there a Linux utility that will tell me the current BIOS boot order and
confirm that PXE booting is enabled? I ran dmidecode on the servers, but
nothing seemed obviously relevant to those issues.
Thanks again,
Steven

Is this possible with Cobbler?
by Steven Edwards
Hello, Cobbler list!
I am new to Cobbler and would love your advice.
I have two live, old CentOS 5.10 servers that I want to replace with
CentOS 7 via SSH while minimizing downtime. (They are on the same
network and I have no physical access to them.)
Would the best bet, aside from getting a third server, be to install
Cobblerd on one server and use it to install CentOS 7 on the other,
then repeat the process using the new CentOS 7 server as the main
Cobbler server?
If so, are there any sample Cobbler files (e.g., distribution,
profiles, and systems) available that I could use as a starting point?
An admittedly cursory search at Github didn't return anything.
Any and all advice will be both welcome and appreciated.
Best,
Steven
