# cobbler check
The following are potential configuration items that you may want to fix:
1 : Must enable a selinux boolean to enable vital web services components, run: setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect true
2 : you need to set some SELinux content rules to ensure cobbler serves content correctly in your SELinux environment, run the following: /usr/sbin/semanage fcontext -a -t public_content_t "/tftpboot/.*" && /usr/sbin/semanage fcontext -a -t public_content_t "/var/www/cobbler/images/.*"
3 : you need to set some SELinux rules if you want to use cobbler-web (an optional package), run the following: /usr/sbin/semanage fcontext -a -t httpd_sys_content_rw_t "/usr/share/cobbler/web/sessions/.*"
4 : some network boot-loaders are missing from /var/lib/cobbler/loaders, you may run 'cobbler get-loaders' to download them, or, if you only want to handle x86/x86_64 netbooting, you may ensure that you have installed a *recent* version of the syslinux package installed and can ignore this message entirely. Files in this directory, should you want to support all architectures, should include pxelinux.0, menu.c32, elilo.efi, and yaboot. The 'cobbler get-loaders' command is the easiest way to resolve these requirements.
5 : change 'disable' to 'no' in /etc/xinetd.d/rsync
6 : since iptables may be running, ensure 69, 80, and 25151 are unblocked
7 : fencing tools were not found, and are required to use the (optional) power management features. install cman or fence-agents to use them
I don't find anything about this message.
Can anybody help me about " Supplied import breed is not supported" ?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards

FYI: Relative path on import?
by Mykel Alvis
I just experienced another issue that may be well known but it wasn't to me.
I was doing an import to an iso that was mounted in the same directory I was in.
cobbler import --name=blah --arch=i386 --path=./tmpiso
It failed to import because ./tmp didn't seem to contain anything for the rsync.
I didn't see this anywhere in the docs, but --path seems to need an
absolute path rather than a relative path.

calling find with no arguments
by Mykel Alvis
I have just recently downloaded the 2.0.2 rpms for cobbler and
cobbler-web and installed them on an otherwise updated F12 system.
When I try to delete a system that was created with 2.0.2 using the
following command:
cobbler system delete --name=sys1
I get the message
calling find with no arguments
I find this message in collection.py regarding kw arguments. Was
there some other package, other than cobbler, that I needed from the
testing repo in order to make 2.0.2 work correctly?

Attempting to add System results in AttributeError?
by Justin Meyer
Hi All,
Earlier this morning I cloned master and made rpms from that to get the
quickfix from https://fedorahosted.org/cobbler/ticket/547. Having installed
these RPMs I can now edit Profiles just fine, however I'm unable to add
Systems. Whether via webui or commandline, I try to add e.g.
cobbler system add --name=util.virt.local --profile=f1254-updated-virt
--kickstart=/var/lib/cobbler/kickstarts/base.ks --virt-type=qemu
--hostname=util.virt.local
... and this is the result:

I've otherwise been able to use Koan to install virtual guests, so things
are generally functional; I'm just wondering if this is user/admin error on
my part (did I leave something critical unset?), or if there's something
broken here.

active directory authentication
by Gehrig Adrian
Hi
Before I make an appointment at my psycho analyst I ask you for help...
I am trying to get the ldap authentication against a Windows 2003 domain working.
Using ldapsearch is working as espected. The following command was executed:
ldapsearch -LLL -x -b 'ou=Users,OU=Bern,OU=Switzerland,OU=10_Locations,DC=emmi,DC=ch' -D CN=username,OU=Service-Accounts,OU=Admin,DC=emmi,DC=ch -w password -H ldap://domaincontroller.emmi.ch "sAMAccountName=*" cn
Now trying to adapt it to cobbler:
# configuration options if using the authn_ldap module. See the # the Wiki for details. This can be ignored if you are not using # LDAP for WebUI/XMLRPC authentication.
ldap_server: "domaincontroller.emmi.ch"
ldap_base_dn: "DC=emmi,DC=ch"
ldap_port: 389
ldap_tls: 1
ldap_anonymous_bind: 0
ldap_search_bind_dn: 'CN=username,OU=Service-Accounts,OU=Admin,DC=emmi,DC=ch'
ldap_search_passwd: 'password'
ldap_search_prefix: 'sAMAccountName=* CN'
Also tried on ldap_search_prefix '' and 'CN' and ldap_tls 0 and 1
The ldap_search_prefix: 'sAMAccountName=* CN' gets the following messages in /var/log/cobbler/cobbler.log:

Someone can give me a hint on how to authenticate my cobbler users against the active directory?

DNS hostname truncation
by Ashley Wright
Hi,
I am having an interesting problem with having cobbler manage DNS. I
have my dns zone set to 'leo' (this is for a private subnet), and a
hostname of 'leo-b' so the FQDN should be 'leo-b.leo', however when
cobbler generates the forward lookup files for named, it only puts the
hostname as '-b'. Also if I put the dnsname as 'myleo-b.leo' the
hostname becomes 'my-b' (ie it removes the leo part).
Any ideas?
I have included some snippets below.
/etc/cobbler/settings (part):
manage_forward_zones:
- 'leo'
manage_reverse_zones:
- '192.168.0'
/var/named/leo (tail):
c IN A 192.168.0.3
d IN A 192.168.0.4
e IN A 192.168.0.5
my-b IN A 192.168.0.2
/var/named/192.168.0 (tail):
2 IN PTR myleo-b.leo.
3 IN PTR leoc.leo.
4 IN PTR leod.leo.
5 IN PTR leoe.leo.
Thanks,
Ashley

Cobbler Web 2.0.2 Errors
by William Sweat
Hello all,
I just upgraded from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 (CentOS 5.4).
I can't edit, view, or create profiles using the cobber web gui. If I try to create a new profile I get this error:
TemplateSyntaxError at /cobbler_web/profile/edit
Caught an exception while rendering: iteration over non-sequence
Original Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/django/template/debug.py", line 71, in render_node
result = node.render(context)
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/django/template/defaulttags.py", line 125, in render
values = list(values)
TypeError: iteration over non-sequence
When I scroll down for more info, this same line shows in all the errors:
Caught an exception while rendering: iteration over non-sequence
385 {% for choice in item.choices %}
Is there a fix for this?
Thanks,
Will Sweat
