Hi together,
Trigger Rally has been listed on the Fedora wiki page for not being
included because of licensing reasons for quite some time. Since then we
did develop the game much further and we removed all non-free material.
So please do consider to include Trigger Rally 0.6.5 into Fedora!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/trigger-rally/
Unfortunately I am not that good with technical things, but please let
me know if I can help to get Trigger Rally into Fedora.
I don't know of any free 3D rally game that would make drifting more
fun. At the same time its low demand on the systems hardware makes it
very attractive to users with weaker systems.
So please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested in adopting
the most recent release of Trigger Rally (it's from yesterday) into
Fedora!

Hey everyone,
I'm pleased to announce that Lugaru 1.1 has been released by the OSS
Lugaru project[1], which among many improvements from the original
open source release in 2010, now has the game content licensed under a
Creative Commons license. David Rosen from Wolfire agreed to relicense
all assets under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license[2], and other mods that we
added to the main tree are licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 and 4.0.
You can read the full release notes and download the source tarball here[3].
## About upstream / OSS Lugaru
Note that this OSS Lugaru group on GitLab is the same upstream as the
project that was hosted on Bitbucket[4]. In particular, Côme Chilliet
(MCMic) and myself are on the team, and we have a new addition in the
form of Rémi Verschelde, a developer in the Godot engine project and a
long-time contributor to Mageia with packaging a wide variety of games
and other software.
We chose to migrate from Mercurial and Bitbucket to Git and GitLab as
we're more familiar with Git nowadays, and want to support the
development of the libre GitLab CE (though we are using GitLab.com and
not a self-hosted instance, but that's a first step). For the moment,
we are still using BitBucket for hosting release tarballs[5], but the
updated, canonical sources are on GitLab.
## Fedora packaging
As Remi and I are packagers (in Mageia and Fedora, respectively), we
focused on making the game packager-friendly. The game data file
lookup is now configurable at build-time, defaulting to
`/usr/share/lugaru` if the build is configured for system-wide install
(as opposed to portable run mode, which is the default).
We also provide a .desktop file, an appdata/metainfo file, an icon and
a man page, as well as explicit documentation about the license of
every file.
I have submitted a review request for including Lugaru in Fedora[6].
I'd greatly appreciate a prompt and speedy review.
Feel free to get in touch with us (all OSS Lugaru developers are in
CC) if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Neal Gompa

真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth!
Hi,
I'm Rick McFarley and I would like to join the Fedora Games SIG.
I like to program, but don't have very much experience.
I also like performing arts. I sing/scream in band and I frequently act in
independent films and community theatre. I also pro wrestle (yes the cheesy
scripted stuff) on a weekly basis.
I absolutely love video games. I would like to get into voice and sound
effect work for free games. I have recently been trying to contribute to
documentation of games that I like. My favorite games (right now) are:
Minetest, 0ad, Xonotic and Unvanquished.
I have been a happy Fedora user since FC 5 and I want to get more involved
in the community that has made my computer/video game experience as
flexible, free and fun as possible. I also wanted to show some needed love
to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Games. At some point, I would like to get
into packaging games.
Thank you for you consideration! I will leave some links below of my
entertainment hobbies.
