blob and conquer is no longer in Fedora (and not being updated), because
it contains various non free resources. I'm working together with the
Debian packager on replacement textures, sound and music, as time allows,
until this is fixed it cannot be included in Fedora.
I've been discussing doing a "development sprint" focussing solely on
resource replacement together with the debian packager, as we are both
Dutch the idea was to get together and work an entire day on this, hopefully
making some good progress.
It would be nice if others could join in (be it virtual not necessarily
physically). So are there any takers for this ?

... due to legal/licensing issues with the artwork and sounds.
I currently don't have the time (and expertise, really) to reimplement
them. If somone wants to have a go at it, feel free.

My request for ogrechess hosting was approved and there is now a git reop
for it at fedorahosted.
The project is at http://git.fedoraproject.org/git/ogrechess.git .
For the time being there is no mailing list or trac set up.
I won't need a mailing list until there are other contributors to talk to.
I didn't want to start with a trac setup right off the bat, but it seems
clear to me that I will enventually need to learn to use trac better and
have one set up for the project. In the mean time there is a TODO file.
My goal is to get ogrechess packaged for F13 or F14 and have it obsolete
chess going forward.
