Well, I asked someone (it was a month ago so I don't recall exactly)
because every time you look at tx it's different, and after I made the
POTs they said I needed to file that bug. I *assumed* that something
would happen, like I would get a notification the bug was closed or
SOMETHING, and that would prompt me to push. I was concerned that there
may be outstanding F16 translations that hadn't been published or even
may yet be done.
Remember, unlike the guides, release notes are 100% new each release.
Anyway, I never got any notification that anything ever happened with
the bug, so I never assumed it was safe to push. Admittedly, things
have been frantic enough that had the bug changed I might not have
noticed it, but it hasn't so that is a moot point. Without knowing that
there is an F17 place to push to, I can only assume that pushing would
destroy someone else's work.

Understood.
In fact, you just have to do a tx push and it will override all POT
with the new ones.
As you said, because they are new each release we need to see the
following points:
- Do we need to keep the old translations?
-- If so we need to track them on the git repo, as they would be overriden
I think we could just block translations on the early alpha release
notes phase, then pushing/overriding on TXN (
Transifex.net) with the
beta ones…
