Dear all,
Does anyone have any experience of these, as they are doing my head in?

Help with qandaset
by Gavin Henry
Dear all,
I am having difficulty creating a pdf (I'm using the Samba-docs tree just
for pdf's)
I get this error:
/usr/bin/xsltproc --output howto.tex xslt/latex.xsl tmp/howto.xml
compilation error: file
http://db2latex.sourceforge.net/xsl/qandaset.mod.xsl line 366 element
template
xsl:template: error duplicate name 'question.answer.label'
make: *** [howto.tex] Error 5
There are only 3/4 hits on google :-(
PS. This is actually being used to build the Amanda manual, as I am
converting the Amanda chapter in the O'reilly book to Docbook XML.

EPS and make PDF
by Stuart Ellis
In case this information is useful:
- When PDF generation worked the order of the EPS and PNG <imagedata>
tags didn't seem to matter, as it worked either way (albeit with broken
headers).
- PDF generation fails unless the file paths in <figure> do *not* have
an initial dot:
"figs/boot.eps" works, but
"./figs/boot.eps" doesn't
- EPS in the Installation Guide were generated with ImageMagick using
"convert -density", e.g.
convert -density 200 in.png ps3:out.eps
- 800x600 images were created at 200 dpi, 640x480 images at 160 dpi.
- EPS Levels 1 and 2 generate files that are 500k+ in size, so Level 3
was used.
- PDF generation fails anyway with latest versions of the IG document:

Hi Andy, welcome.
It's pretty straightforward.
http://fedora.redhat.com/participate/documentation-quick-start/ will
give you a good overview of the process. After that, it's picking a
topic, reading http://fedora.redhat.com/participate/documentation-
guide/ , checking out example tutorial from CVS, and writing.
Please take a look at those pages, let us know if you have any
questions.
cheers - Karsten
