Thanks for checking on this, Ray. I added this to Bugzilla as an RFE
(#169627); I hope that was not an annoyance.

We had a discussion today, and decided that this is the best method for
using <ulink>:
<ulink url="http://www.apache.org"/>
This makes the link text be drawn from the URL attribute, in both online
and print versions. This way the URL is not lost, as it would be in
this method:
<ulink url="http://www.apache.org">Apache Foundation website</ulink>

FDSCo meeting
20 September 2005
irc.freenode.net, #fedora-docs
Canonical schedule and tasks:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DocsProject/FedoraDocsSchedule
Summary of Updates and New Tasks:
=================================
* FDP continues to pursue a toolchain that is both 100% free and in line
with what the upstream DocBook developers are using. Gavin is working
with Tommy to find or create one or more suitable packages for a free
toolchain and possibly entry into Fedora Extras. FDP has not received
any significant positive feedback for helping with FOP issues to date.
* Gavin will draft contact letter to be emailed to each author currently
listed on wiki, and will post a draft to the FDSCo list for discussion.
* Stuart is working with Patrick Barnes to come up with guidelines for
wiki doc drafting. Discussion to take place on f-docs-l on guidelines
for wiki markup.
** NOTE: Stuart and Patrick are often available on
** IRC at #fedora-wiki for authors to consult, or to
** discuss any other wiki issues.
* Stuart will work on conversion of new RPM Guide chapters from .SXW to
DocBook XML, and post progress to the list, hopefully before he departs
for FUDCON.
* Paul will pick up publishing of some docs to f.r.c, including
republishing Developers Guide and other UTF-8 needy docs, and the
mirror-tutorial.
* Paul will Bugzilla as RFE a change to f.r.c/css/print.css to make
monospace text more readable.

Ha! Just republishing as UTF-8 for now. But this would be the right
place to canonize what's on the Wiki for posterity, methinks.
Call to a few select RH'ers... Do you think the maintainers of
redhat-menus (hopefully I hit at least one of them on the CC list above)
would have a problem issuing an update that puts the "Documentation"
directory back in the menu system?
I can't seem to figure out a graceful way of adding our stuff into the
Main Menu without it -- it just ends up in "Other" when I use the
"Documentation" category, and I haven't been able to figure out how to
make a drop-file for /etc/xdg/menus/applications-merged/ to make this
work. If either of them had input, that would be great, even if that
input is "you're an idiot, here's the drop file you need." (The first
part all by itself is not as helpful, probably.)

ABSOLUTELY! Our goal is to have these in Core, since they are (1)
small, (2) nonduplicative, and (3) may presuppose lack of connection to
the outside world (e.g. the user is having troubles and needs docs but
has no Web access). I am an Extras contributor and will be taking care
of this, no fear. But your continued input is greatly appreciated for
giving me use cases I hadn't considered. We should probably move this
discussion to f-docs-l; I'm setting reply-to and CC appropriately.

Hi all,
My names Matthew Bird living in Birmingham UK.
Im currently a consultant working with Redhat Enterprise and Fedora and
have written a range of internal documentation. In addition I have been
a Redhat user since v5.6 and think it's about time I gave something back.
Initially I'd like to complete the GPG documentation at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DocsProject/UsingGpg/CreatingKeys by
adding a section on key revocation.
Hopefully after that I'll be able to continue to add/amend documentation
on encryption,security and other topics.

Can anyone give me a thumbnail, or provide a link to same, explaining
the KDE Help system and how to install documents therein? I have a
handle on scrollkeeper and Yelp for GNOME but no idea how to proceed
with KDE. This will be part of the rollout of FDP documentation into
the distribution as RPM packages.
