Summary: Collapsible guides menu button on
docs.fedoraproject.org as seen in
docs.redhat.com
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Platform: Unspecified
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: unspecified
Priority: unspecified
Component: docs-requests
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: ronin3510(a)gmail.com
QAContact: fedora-docs-list(a)redhat.com

Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
The feature I'm talking about is newly added in
docs.redhat.com and greatly
enhances readability and usability, both on desktop/laptop and mobile devices,
and since it already exists, it should be pretty trivial to backport it on
Fedora Docs. It's a small button in the upper part of the guides section that
can be toggled to hide the guides list after choosing the desired
guide/chapter. It appeared on
docs.redhat.com in the last few weeks, and it
wasn't available on RHEL 6 launch day (Nov 10, 2010). I mentioned that to
narrow the timeframe a bit.
Thank you.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
How reproducible:
Contrast and compare
docs.redhat.com
docs.fedoraproject.org
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try to read a guide in a browser
2.Try to read a guide in a mobile browser on
docs.fedoraproject.org
3.Try to read a guide in a mobile browser on
docs.redhat.com using the
aforementioned button switch
Actual results:
docs.fedoraproject.org is almost unusable on mobile devices and not so great on
a bit larger displays. like small laptops and netbooks
Expected results:
There's no reason not having the same streamlined reading experience on both
documentation sites.
