==== F39 Work Project: Fedora Server on (ARM) SBC ====
We agreed upon publishing a reference list according to the plan in issue -108.
W’ll collect what models are available in Server WG.
I've taken a look at a few vendors and isloated a few boards that look
interesting. Here's the list:
Khadas' Vim3 and Vim4 are relativly powerful, allow installation of
Fedora and have an M.2 slot for additional storage.
Banana Pi has a whole host of boards that have M.2 or PCIe slots:
* Banana Pi BPI-M1 (SATA)
* Banana Pi BPI-M2
* Banana Pi BPI-M4
* Banana Pi BPI-F2
* Banana Pi BPI-R1
* Banana Pi BPI-R2
* Banana Pi BPI-R64
* Banana Pi BPI-W2
* Banana Pi Pro
Pine64 has the ROCKPro64 board.
Sadly, a number of Open Source projects that I was following a while back
and would have been of interest to the SIG have halted due to inflation
or supply shortages:
Kobol's Helios64
https://kobol.io/
Diskio
https://www.diskiopi.com/shop/en/
Some things are still around. Radxa's Quad Sata Hat still seems to be
around and Argon has a NAS case for Pi 4 systems that I didn't know
about.
I just got a Vim3 board and was planning to install Fedora on it to use
it as a backup server but I've now ordered an Asustor Flashstor 6 and
will be using Fedora Server on that instead.
