I did try putting the runtime into my Xubuntu system, but the same
error.still crops up.
Much googling has turned up this...
------
http://frozenbyte.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3427
"The problem was that the installer was compiled on a computer with
too recent libraries. The build environment for the game itself
(Debian Lenny) was too old for the installer."
------
In terminal "strings /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 | grep GLIBC" returns...
GLIBCXX_3.4 through to GLIBCXX_3.4.13
GLIBC_2.0 through to GLIBC_2.4

Guilty of what I grumble about with our customers :) Not enough
info.
It's the full package, OpenAPC-1.6-1.i386.exe, on Windows XP.
I also have the Full ubuntu package OpenAPC-1.6-1.i386.deb that I just
tried to setup - LocDemo-0.6-1.i386.deb
<

is installed.
Launching open editor fails. Environment is Xubuntu 10.04 LTS.
In terminal I get ...
.....:~$ /usr/bin/OpenEditor
/usr/bin/OpenEditor: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.14'
not found (required by /usr/bin/OpenEditor)
Would also installing the runtime package clear up that error?
Thanks.
