Dear OpenAPC follower,
openapc just announced version 3.2-1 of OpenAPC on Freecode.
The release notes for this version are as follows:
This version supports new hardware-like printer driver-based scanner
controllers. BeamConstruct was extended with many functions such as support for
coloured bitmap marking, extended motion support, and advanced marking functions
(part counting, manual motion control out of marking dialogue, etc.).
OpenAPC is an APC (Advanced Process Control) solution that is highly flexible
and configurable and covers a wide range of automation, visualization, and
process control tasks from home control up to industrial automation. Control
applications created with the OpenAPC editor's visual interface can perform
several tasks dependent on how the application is configured and used. The
application is available for many different platforms, so OpenAPC projects can
be switched over to a different platform easily.

I have built an 80watt CO2 plotter style laser with x/y axis servo motors
driven via step and direction via the LPT port , currently it runs via MACH3
with gcode software but I would like to convert to use Beam construct to
run the laser.
However , my knowledge in programming beam construct is very limited and
basic, I still have not worked out how to load the parport plug in !!!
To save my little brain going into over load , does any one have a fully
working program for a gantry style beam construct running via the parport
I would appreciate if any one has worked it out to send me the completed
program or any assistance to get the program working on my laser .
