RTC setup question
by Banasek, Jacob Thomas
I just found this software and trying to connect on the BeamConstruct software to an RTC 3 card. I think I have it set up to the correct files (and have tried many different things), but am continually getting "cannot allocate required resources" as an error whenever I try to run a pattern. I think it is connection to the software problem as this card does work with a different program that was being used). I was wondering if anyone had any tips, tricks, or suggestion on how to get this to work.
thanks for your time and help

Re: Fwd: Re: Can't access RTC5 driver from BeamConstruct
by Axel von Arnim
Hi Michael,
Strange, when I open essai1.beamp I can read the card config (RTC5,
correction file, ...).
Yes, I did save as default config. I re-did it and hereby send to you
the file again.
Yes, I created the link libslrtc5.so since my in-house app uses it.
Another point: BeamConstruct keeps unchecking the "Invert Output Logic"
checkbox. Maybe it is not saved in the project?
Best regards,
Axel

Can't access RTC5 driver from BeamConstruct
by Axel von Arnim
Hi there,
Having followed the manual and configured the RTC5 card in the
Project/Settings, I keep on having a "Can't allocate required resources"
error when calling the "Mark" dialog.
I have Fedora 17 and the latest OpenAPC.
I gave the correct firmware path (where the .dat resides), and the right
correction files and output port, as configured in my other working
in-house program.
I saw there is some kind of bug: when I choose the firmware directory
graphically, it is not reported in the textfield. I have to write it by
hand. Is it possible that something is not take into account there? Is
there a way to see the config/project file contents to check that
everything is right?
Best regards
Axel
