Fiber Traffic
by Overkill
All, I have a backup server with fiber card or scsi card in it. I'm
seeing a lot of traffic on my network card and it should all be going
thru my fiber card. The fiber card is hooked up to some sort of tape
device/robot. Is there a way that I can view or see my fiber card
device traffic? I'm getting complaints that I'm clogging the network
bandwidth and that shouldn't be the case. Thanks guys!

Help with a Bash script
by Michael Thompson
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I'm quite new to Bash scripting, and just need a little pointer on how
to go through a file, and execute commands there in until the end of the
file is reached.
The idea is this, a list of iptables rules is downloaded, they are run
through a set of commands to get the file in a state ready to run. I
need to read each line of that file, and execute each one. I'm not sure
on loops in bash, and hope someone can help... :)
I download this file:
http://www.okean.com/antispam/iptables/rc.firewall.china
Then run it through this to sanitize it
sed 's/--dport 25//g' rc.firewall.china|cat|grep "^[ ]*iptables" >
rc.firewall.china_mod
Now, how do I loop through that file executing each line in a for while
loop?

Pulling everything from Network instead of DVD
by Deepak
Hi,
Just burned the DVD of F12 and trying to clean install. At some point it
shows message that "local media found" but in the installation process, it
is pulling everything from network. Why is that? Did it detected the newer
updated version from the repository?

fort77 compiler
by Siavoush Dastmalchi
Dear All,
I am trying to install a program on my Linux system (Fedora core 5) but it fails because there is no fort77 compiler. I know that I have a working ifort on my system, but I need fort77.
It looks like that the program that I am trying to install can also be compiled with g77, but again this one is also missing.
I was wondering how I can get these compliers and get them work on my system.
Cheers, Siavoush
