Burning FC4 install CDs under Windows XP
by Glenn Story
How do I burn the install CDs from the ISO images while running Windows XP?
If I recall there were instructions to do this for FC3 but they're
gone for FC4.
Thanks.

cups-lpd on FC4
by Ian Pilcher
Does anyone have cups-lpd working on Fedora Core 4? If so, are you
willing to share some details about your SELinux configuration?
Thanks!

This is very helpful. If I have time later this week I might try to the YUM
approach, and I'll definitely file a bug. I appreciate the help. I really
want to avoid a re-installation (too much time on config files invested and
I'm lazy and don't want to do them again). So the YUM approach looks good.

Recommened Tape Backup software
by Julian Underwood
Dear List,
I'm pretty frustrated with Tape Backup software at the moment. I simply
want an easy to use/install, program which will allow me to backup my
server to multiple DLT tapes.
I tried BRU, and it worked OK, but it's not free, so I couldn't restore.
I checked out Networker from Legato, and it seems a bit much for a
single server--which is also not free.
Could someone recommend a good backup software which can handle this
task? I understand that Amanda is quite good, but doesn't support
appending to multiple tapes "out of the box."
Thanks in advance,
Julian

RE Linksys 54g
by lee
Don't know if this will help or if you want to go this way.
www.linuxant.com has a linux driver loader kernel modual that let you
use the ms windows driver. I had to do this for a netgear card. They do
charge $20 fee for a license, but they give you a 30 day free trail.
It was cheaper then buying a new card.

How do you install an sh program?
by Benjamin Sher
Dear friends:
This is an image manipulation program called XNView. I just downloaded
the source tarball. But I can't figure out how to install this program.
It must be simple. And I have installed sh programs before but there is
usually an install.sh file. Not here. So, how do I install it, please? I
wrote to the author but just got a reply that he is on vacation.

Multihoming: Restricting an app's access to some IP's
by Kenneth Porter
Is there any way to set user or application access control on the
interfaces available? I've got two public interfaces on a hosted server,
and some dumb apps (closed source game servers) bind to the wildcard
interface, so they end up announcing their existence on an interface I
don't want used for that service.
