Yes, I installed sharutils, and tried it again with CC=gcc32, but the
compilation failed with the same messages.
There is another thing i noticed during *make* : This is a fragment of
the output:
make[1]: Entering directory `/opt/FedoraDownloads/madwifi-20030802/ath_hal'
*Makefile:61: ../hal/linux/Makefile.inc: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `../hal/linux/Makefile.inc'. Stop.*
make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/FedoraDownloads/madwifi-20030802/ath_hal'
Could this be the source of the problem?

Decent Games for Fedora?
by Nick Wilson
Hi all,
After getting my video drivers sorted I'm keen to know what games work
*right out the box* (or near as) for Fedora?
It seems every time I try to compile somthing cool looking it just fails
miserably, and I'd really like to see some 'free' games that'll work
nice on Fedora.
...and no, i dont' mean like the ones that come with KDE ;-)
any recommendations?

Evolution 1.4.5 and its very limited capabilities
by Arturo Duran
I am using the default Evolution package installed by
FC1.
I am rather disappointed at the limitations imposed by
the application when sending messages:
NO font sizes
NO font colours
NO "Justified" paragraph alignment
All of these options are greyed out BY DEFAULT.
Is this a bug?.
Can anyone help?.
Cheers,
Arturo Duran

compiling the fedora kernel from source
by Yannick Gagnon
Hi all,
I installed fedora and a lot of thing isn't working, such as acpi, usb,
etc. So I downloaded the fedora kernel-source to modify it and
recompile, but it crashes at 'make modules' I can't recall the error,
but I tried a couple time, always the same error.
Anyone knows whats wrong with the kernel source or system???
Or what would be the recipe for compiling fedora's kernel?
Thanks

SONY Memory Stick card reader
by Arturo Duran
My Samsung X10 has a built-in Memory Stick card
reader.
I was wondering whether FC1 ships with drivers for
this, and how to enable the device permanently
(etc/fstab?).
Thanks,
Arturo Duran

Problem with Filters in Evolution
by Alexander Appel
Hello everybody!
I'm experiencing a disturbing problem with the e-mail-filter functions
in Evolution:
I'm using a Spam-filter which checks for a Spam-Assassin header and if
it finds it, moves the mail to a folder called Spam. The second action
of my filter should mark the mails as read, but this doesn't work at
all.
The spam-mails get properly sorted in my spam-folder, but they're all
still marked as unread.
Does anybody have the same problem and possibly a solution for me?
Greetings

Clifford,
thanks for the speedy reply. I am pretty sure I found my real problem. It
looks here like eth1 a 3c590, and es1371 (my sound card) are "sharing" IRQ10.
To the best of my knowledge... You can't do that!! Now I found a problem but
I still don't know how to fix it. Both cards are PnP PCI cards without
jumpers to set the IRQ. Is there a way to forceably assign IRQs to PnP PCI
cards in software?
