Thanks for the hints. I’ll change it when write a followup version.
Unfortunately, the preview doesn’t allow public access. I didn’t know that.
Thanks

The bits I got confused on were:
"Instead of Cockpit you could use an elaborate invocation of virsh"
"It seems pretty absurd to use a complete VM binary from a third party source or to
rely on an external binary image.
"Overall, this is not a suitable solution."'
Also, your magazine link doesn't allow me to "preview drafts."
Thanks, sorry for misunderstanding you.

Sorry, my wording must be misleading (I am not a native speaker).
Cockpit is (together with ssh / cli) the essential tool for managing Fedora Server. And I
do not share the opinion of some "hardcore administrators" that Cockpit is
superfluous bells and whistles and should not be installed by default. And I just finished
a Fedora Magazine article about it (#151 "Reconfiguring virtual machines with
Cockpit“ currently in review phase, preview
https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=33836&preview=true&preview_id=33836...
just in case you want to comment on it pre-publication)
My message is, we need a proper virtual disk image we can import easily and quickly, most
simply via Cockpit „Import VM" (or via virsh for "hardcore admins"). The
currently available images do not fit the bill for a Fedora Server Edition virtual duplum
[1].
Perhaps you can give me a hint as to which of my formulations is so very misleading.
Thanks
Peter
[1] Duplum (Latin) refers to a (usually higher) counterpart voice to the tenor in the Ars
antiqua.
