I would prefer it to just be the absolutely necessary changes, doing the
rest later in the package. In the case that the inappropriate content goes
away upstream, then we can immediately switch to an unmodified source.
Oh, and it makes it far easier to verify the upstream vs what is in the
package when only the necessary changes are made. If more and more changes
are made it makes it more and more difficult to verify.
