the bug F35FailsToInstall: eclispe itself ?
I don't actively monitor Eclipse bugs. If you think there is a problem
with hamcrest package, please open a bug for that component.
I got some question here, because "osgi(org.hamcrest.core)" was version
1 and now hamcrest package is version 2, this will impact on running
eclipse ?
i.e. if I got to hamcrest.spec and add Provides:
osgi(org.hamcrest.core), we can install eclipse on rawhide but I just
tested it in mock, I don't run it (I'm still preparing a vm with Fedora
35 branched)
Explicit provides on osgi bundles should almost never be added. They
should be generated automatically. If they are not, this indicates a
bug elsewhere that needs to be addressed. Eclipse expects most of JARs
it depends on to be OSGi bundles. Mere fake Provides are not enough.
But installation of one sub-package still failing with missing some
osgi of package objectweb-asm , objectweb-asm IIRC also lost his osgi
with merge of modular branch
In such cases please open bugs in Bugzilla and I can work on re-adding
lost OSGi metadata.
