Apache TomEE rpms

Hello Fedora/Java people, First post to the list, so hello! eclipse-cdt builds starting to fail with apache-commons-net 3.4

eclipse-cdt build is starting to fail with: [ERROR] Cannot resolve project dependencies: [ERROR] Software being installed: org.eclipse.cdt.launch.remote.feature.group 8.8.0.qualifier [ERROR] Missing requirement: org.eclipse.rse.ftp.feature.group 3.7.0.201510131436 requires 'org.apache.commons.net [3.3.0]' but it could not be found https://apps.fedoraproject.org/koschei/package/eclipse-cdt This seems to be due to the update of apache-commons-net from 3.3 to 3.4. However, I was under the impression that version checking wasn't enforced by %mvn_build. Am I mistaken or has something else changed? Or does eclipse-rse need to be rebuilt? Ivy packaging for EPEL7

What's the best way to deal with resolving ivy dependencies in EPEL7? I'm trying to package zookeeper for EPEL7, and am running into problems. I see there's ivy-local for F21 and later, which comes with xmvn 2, but it looks like EL7/EPEL7 is mostly a F19-era package set. Are there any plans to bump xmvn to 2 for EPEL7, or to provide ivy-local another way? Or is there another option? I'm really more familiar with maven builds than ivy, so this is somewhat of a struggle. Any advice would be appreciated.

Why there are duplicated binaries in openjdk?

Hi, I'm kind of new in java, so probably my question is too obvious. The other day looking into /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.65-3.b17.fc21.x86_64 in my Fedora, I notice some duplicated binaries like bin/java and jre/bin/java. I read about the difference between JRE and JDK, but I don't get why is necessary to keep both binaries if we only use one of them. Hope you can help me to understand a little more. Thanks a lot.
