My plan was to continue to install
/usr/lib/gcj-4.1.1/libgcjwebplugin.so (without installing any
symlinks, so that Firefox would not load the plugin by default), so
that adventurous users could still do:
cd ~/.mozilla/plugins
ln -s /usr/lib/gcj-4.1.1/libgcjwebplugin.so .
There would still be the security warning dialog asking whether or
not to load a given applet.
What do people think of this plan?
I think it's an excellent compromise.
