I would like to bring your attention to this new document https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Maven_bootstrapping.
The document explains the necessity of a more complex approach to building some java packages, how it is integrated with the Fedora CI and finally, how to execute a whole procedure of maven bootstrap (with your updated package / pull request) yourself.
It is intended for contributors outside of regular people experienced with the packaging of Java packages and also for whoever forgot the procedure.
