systemd autofs
by Neal Becker
I tried out
systemd-analyze blame
and found that
3084ms cups.service
1354ms autofs.service
I hardly need autofs, and not for boot. Is there some way to tell systemd
autofs is not a dependency of anything else?

SSSD (LDAP and Kerberos) to AD
by Ethan Bonick
I am having trouble getting sssd to work properly with LDAP. I am using kerberos for passwords and LDAP for identification. I have everything working on Ubuntu and CENTOS5 clients not using SSSD so I know it works.
Kerberos works just fine and I can get a ticket. LDAP returns nothing, debug logs aren't helping me. I have included a copy of my config file. We are not using certs on ldap and it shouldn't be required since I am using kerberos for authentication.
Thanks,
Ethan

LibreOffice not printing "still"
by Lawrence E Graves
Who do I talk to about this problem. I have been following the threads
as close as possible and just finished installing the updated version of
LibreOffice and still I can't print from it. I can go into my Virtual
Machine and print fine. What is the deal and who can I turn to and find
answers. Thanking you in advance for your help.

Fedora 15 Classic gnome option
by Nathan D'elboux
Does anyone know if the Classic Gnome would become an option to use if
we don't like Gnome 3? or are just used to Gnome classic?
I'm all for change and don't really mind which way that Fedora heads but
i heard Ubuntu may have it an option with their Unity interface. Good to
keep the options open
Cheers
Nathan

Yum "Errno 22, invalid mode ('w')
by Sherwyn
Hello All,
I am running a clean install of Fedora 15 and recently I am getting the following error when using yum to install a package:
"[Errno 22] invalid mode ('w') or filename: '//var/lib/yum/rpmdb-indexes/file-requires.tmp" any help with this would be great.
P.S I tried a few suggestions I saw over on the Fedora forums and some stuff that suggested in the irc room but so far nothing.
Thank you,

Lock-out after login
by antonio montagnani
I upgraded a perfect F14 to F15 on a Samsung laptop, with intel i915
graphics.
After upgrading all packages (but Xorg-x11-server that coould be started
only with nomodeset option) randomly at boot laptop seems to freeze, as
in some protection state, afterwards I push the power button and I get
the login screen.
Any idea??

Anyone gotten ATI HDMI audio working?
by Tom Horsley
I've got fedora 15 running on my Dell Zino HD with an HDMI
connection as the only thing running to the flatscreen TV.
On Windows 7, audio just works. On Fedora 15, I haven't
yet managed to find the magic incantation to enable the
ATI card's HDMI audio output.
I've seen a few web pages that talk about configuring
alsa with some sort of plughw setting which will enable
it to convert incoming analog to outgoing PCM, but don't
really understand it or know if the necessary drivers
to do that sort of thing are in fedora.
Just wondering if anyone already has a prescription
for this I can follow and avoid doing all the research
and chasing the flock of wild geese that comes with it :-).

Preupgrade fc14 to fc15 failed, kernel is not installed
by WangWentao
Hello, guys,
I used preupgrade to upgrade fc14 to fc15, and everything seemed fine.
But when I reboot, I just find that kernel-fc15 is not installed.
There are no vmlinuz-xxx.fc15.i686 and initramfs-xxxx-fc15.i686.img in
/boot, no entry about fc-15 written in grub.conf, and nothing related to
fc15 is found in /lib/modules.
I just try to download kernel and install it manually. But I don't know
whether there are any other packages forgotten.
