F14 cobbler daemon
by Beartooth
On an oldish machine (Dell PowerEdge SC1420, *not being used as a
server), boot messages look fairly unremarkable, till one saying
"Starting cobbler daemon: SERVING!" -- which is called OK -- after which
booting stops.
The machine can be ssh'd into, and I've done a yum update or two,
without helping it to boot.
What is to be done?

Twinkle with Bluetooth headset
by Ian Pilcher
Has anyone managed to get Twinkle (or any other softphone) to work with
a Bluetooth headset?
I have a Motorola HK201, which is paired with my laptop and recognized
by Pulseaudio. I've been unable to find a softphone that actually uses
Pulseaudio, and I've been unable to get alsa to recognize the headset as
a microphone. (I have been able to play audio through it, although I
can't get alsa to call it anything but "default", which is really
annoying.)
I've tried pretty much all of the asound.conf examples that Google has
turned up, but none of them has made a bit of difference.
Any ideas? Thanks!

How to use boot options.
by Aaron Konstam
It may just be me but when installing F14 from a DVD it is not at all
clear how you bring up the boot prompt so you can type: Linux text, for
example, and do a text install?
Does hitting the TAB key do it or what?

Firefox scrolling: breakup under overlying window
by John Pilkington
Hi: I have no idea what is the best place to post this, but it feels
like new behaviour and I haven't found a clear reference to it
elsewhere. If I scroll in a Firefox window that is partially obscured
by another window the emerging display is corrupted. Anyone else/fix?

Making space on an EeePC
by Beartooth
I have F14 installed and running on an EeePC 701 -- the earliest
smallest slowest EeePC afaik.
It boots and it runs. But it's not usable yet; for one thing,
when I set it to boot, I then have to check every quarter-hour or two to
see if it has finished yet ....
According to baobab, the biggest thing still left in the whole
filesystem is /usr/share/locale. (I cut out apps utterly ruthlessly while
installing.)
Can I simply delete all of /usr/share/locale, or all but one of
the folders in it?? Or shrink it some other way??
