Hello,
I have been selected as one of the students of GSOC 2018 for the Fedora project. I will be implementing Kubernetes/OpenShift support for the conu [1] under the guidance of my mentors Jiri Popelka and Dominika Hoďovská.
You can read about my plan and details of implementation in my first blog article: https://rpitonak.github.io/2018/04/29/plan.html
Best regards,
Rado P.

I believe that we should modify the definition of our three mailing lists
slightly. What do you think of the proposal below? Barring objections,
I'd like to make these changes on Wednesday May 2, 2018.
regards,
bex

# summer-coding(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
This should remain a general discussion area for anyone involved or
interested in the summer coding projects (GSoC, Outreachy, etc.) with open
subscription.
Proposed New Description:
This special interest group is focused on defining and running
student/project interactions. Students are working directly on project
contributions as a part of classwork or as a special internship, such as
Google Summer of Code or Outreachy.
This SIG works with mentors from upstream and cross-stream projects
relating to the Fedora Project, and any project that is an upstream of
these projects.
# summer-coding-discuss(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
This list will remain a closed subscription list. The list will have
subscribed to it all current year mentors and students to facilitate
announcements and conversations.
Proposed New Description:
This list is for mentors, administrators and students to discuss anything
related to the current year's Fedora Summer Coding programs (i.e. Google
Summer of Code, Outreachy).
The Summer Coding SIG has separate discussions that are not about
conducting the current program, at this separate list:
http://lists.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/summer-coding
Subscribe the list if you are invited only.
# summer-coding-mentors(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
This list will be rebooted as the closed list for mentors and
administrators of the current year's programs.
Proposed New Description:
This list is for mentors and administrators of the current year's Fedora
Summer Coding programs (i.e. Google Summer of Code, Outreachy) to discuss
program issues, student proposals, and performance.
The list is private so mentors are free to openly discuss issues that are
best discussed privately. Topics include proposal acceptance/denial,
performance, financial matters, student problems, and mentor problems.
