It seems like there are several problems:

That means there are some networking problems. Ether Dream sends these
information via UDP broadcasts and your host computer seems not to be
able to receive them. That can be caused by too restrictive firewall
settings or a wrong host IP (which must be in range 169.254.x.x except
you provide DHCP to the card) or a damaged network cable or...

firmware
update and hit "start update" via USB, I get the error screen saying device
not found!
To do the update via USB the drivers have to be loaded correctly.
Please check in control panel/device manager if there is a driver
loaded (which comes in OpenAPC/driver). Please note: drivers for 64
bit operating systems are accidentially missing, they will be added to
installation package of next release.

I went to the Ether Dream site and managed to run the

which apparently worked (as evidenced by the LED actions). I am pulling my
hair out, anybody have any suggestions how I can get this card recognized
by
EDWatcher?
