Insight meeting recap 2010-06-09

Unfortunately, zodbot quit in the middle of our meeting due to the scheduled maintenance we hadn't taken into account. Zikula 1.2.3 on pt6

Is it kosher for me to update pt6 using the zikula-1.2.3 RPM that's in koji and has been submitted but not pushed to the epel-test repository for EL-5? This is a blocker for fixing the EZComments problem, as noted on the list in another thread. -- Paul W. Fedora Insight testing

I've done some testing this morning on publictest6.fedoraproject.org/zikula with some of the test criteria listed at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Insight_Testing. In short - newly created users in fakeFAS (pt3/accounts) are getting added to the users group in zikula when they log in for the first time, but ALL users - and this includes ALL standard users, ones NOT in the Administration group, not just New Users - get a 403 error. I recall that we've had this error in the past, but I can't find the ticket for it. (I thought it had been fixed.) Most of the details are in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Insight_Testing. In short - I can't test any of the items related to comments being moderated for first-time posters who are registered users, or the automatic approval of second-time poster comments - since I can't log in and do anything with anyone who is a standard user. We need to resolve the 403 issue problem ASAP for testing to move forward. -Robyn

Change in Insight weekly meeting

Several of us, including Robyn Bergeron and myself, will be traveling on Thursday to the Southeast LinuxFest during our normal weekly meeting time for Insight. We'd like to change the meeting to be one day earlier than normal. That puts our Insight meeting at Wed, 2010-06-09 at 1800 UTC (2:00pm US-Eastern). We'll meet on IRC at #fedora-mktg as usual. zikula-module-advanced_polls Help

I'm working on Fedora Ticket #116. I've installed the zikula and zikula-module-advanced_polls RPMs on pt16. I'm having a problem with the Advanced Polls. I was hoping that someone on this list might have a suggestion. Under Advanced Polls, click on the 'New Poll' tab. Clicking on New Poll brings up a Create Poll screen. I filled out the fields and hit 'Create Poll'. A new page comes up: Page not found We're sorry. The page you requested, /zikula/index.php?module=Advanced%20Polls&type=admin&func=create, doesn't exist on "Fedora Test Site for Polls". Search You can also search this site to find what you are looking for. Additional technical information * In Advanced Polls module, create function returned. Back ----- I clicked on 'Back'. The page said 'Poll Created' at top. If I click on the 'View Polls' tab, the poll that I just created shows up. If I click on 'Advanced Polls' on the right, a new page displays. If I click on the new poll, I get a page with the title and description. However there are no options. Nor was I ever asked to enter any options. If I click on the Vote button, I get the following: Error! Could not do what you wanted. Please check your input. I can edit the poll and add the options. I voted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Frank

This is because the "right-sidebar" is outside the content div. The interior pages look correct 2. The footer's line is off. In #fedora-footer, basically add some padding to the top of it. - margin: 0 auto 2em; + margin: 1em auto 2em; The "#content ul li, #content ol li { margin-left:1.5em; }" in fedora.css is overriding the "#fedora-footer li" in layout.css. Maybe if that entry in layout.css is renamed to "#fedora-footer ul li" or "#main-content #fedora-footer ul li" so that its more defined, it should fix it. They aren't being added with administrative rights either. Also good! - First-time comments are being held for moderation - good - Second-time comments (and third, etc) are ALSO being held for moderation - NOT GOOD. - The issue with strange database-looking descriptors vs. english descriptors in one's profile editing page is resolved - it now says "real name," etc. For the second-time comments issue - I opened the following ticket: https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2207

AuthFAS -- captures of code from pt6

I captured all the differences in code between what's in git for AuthFAS, and what's deployed on /usr/share/zikula/modules/AuthFAS on publictest6. I committed everything to a new "pt6-capture" branch: http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=fedora-zikula.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/head… Note that I did my best at making proper git commits, i.e. somewhat self-explanatory and self-contained, in case any of them turn out to be unwanted. I'm about to do the same thing with the theme, but I expect it's going to be somewhat harder since I don't know a ton about the CSS changes there. -- Paul W. Zikula working times

Stephen Smoogen and I are going to meet tomorrow at 2pm EDT (1800 UTC) to figure out how to handle the divergence between the stg.fp.o and pt6.fp.o instances of Zikula, and document the procedure for changes. (Live changes at least to stg.fp.o are generally discouraged, AIUI.) A bunch of us (me, Robyn, Mateo, Smooge) are going to meet on Sunday at 2pm EDT to see what Robyn's finished testing, and if we have any functional problems.
