fpaste : this would be better as a bot alias @fpaste user : "user, please use the
fpaste (you may need to install with su -c "yum install fpaste") to paste your
logs. example "fpaste foo" or "cat foo | fpaste"
fs.o : I think this should be in the topic
feedback : the @feedback alias works perfectly imo, and I think the amount of feedback
would diminish substantially if we moved it to the topic alone
Hope this helps :-)
Kind Regards
Dave

Subject: topic topic
Thought I would start some more discussion on the /topic in #fedora.
In the past we had it pushing the limit of what freenode would let us
do and were always scrambling to make it shorter. Many people would not
read it because it scrolled off their client. Others would be pointed
there, but say "where?" and not see the part that someone was pointing
them to.
So, we switched to a very short topic that just points to the FAQ page.
Now, there are a few other items that folks have mentioned might be
good to add back into the topic.
So, what should it be? Post your suggestions here.
Currently its:
Fedora 12 & 13 end-user support. Please READ:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Channel_FAQ
Items that people have mentioned as possibly good to have in there:
- Please use
fpaste.org
- Pointer to
fedoraunity.org for their excellent guides
- Pointer to our feedback trac page.
Anyhow, I personally like it smaller, but I can see it being good to
add a few more items... So, what do folks think we should set it to?
