That's exactly what I wanted to do. I tried Blender because there seemed
to be more tutorials available for blender than the others....
You might be better off using a tool like Openshot or Kdenlive, both are
available at RPM Fusion (because of the dependence on FFMpeg).
Openshot does basic stuff internally but actually does use Blender to
render advanced titles. It can be a little quirky sometimes and the 2.0
release is long overdue but it's pretty usable.
I'll give Openshot a try...
