Re-sending since I managed to send this only to Frank originally. :-(

I'm using MATE on X11.
Funny, that I can edit some of my connectiona without problems.
OK...
I finally got my old laptop which has F25 KDE and GNOME installed to boot. Battery
connection issue.....
Anyway, I could not edit the network configuration with either GNOME/X11 or
GNOME/Wayland. "Apply" is grayed out in both cases. However, I can edit just
find under
KDE. KDE uses plasma-nm* packages to interface with NetworkManager. I believe MATE
replies on mostly the GNOME bits.
Running
dnf downgrade NetworkManager
brought the functionality back for me under GNOME. So, I would give that a try if I were
you.
