I finally got my old laptop which has F25 KDE and GNOME installed to
boot.
Battery
connection issue.....
Anyway, I could not edit the network configuration with either GNOME/X11
or
GNOME/Wayland. "Apply" is grayed out in both cases.
However, I can edit
just find under
KDE. KDE uses plasma-nm* packages to interface with NetworkManager.
I
believe MATE
replies on mostly the GNOME bits.
Running
dnf downgrade NetworkManager
brought the functionality back for me under GNOME. So, I would give that
a try if
I were
you.
Not for me under MATE :-(
