Mozilla Printing Question
by Brian Truter
How do you add or set a default printer in Mozilla?
I have 2 printer drivers on my system, pointing to one physical device:
1) Text Only printer used by our applications
2) Standard full functional driver
Basically, the system uses the text only driver as the system default
printer. I dont want mozilla to use the text only driver, however, I want
it to use the Standard driver as its default.
I tried adding "print.printer_list" option in the user perference file for
mozilla (user.js) and that does add the printer to the list of printers to
print from in Mozilla, however, no matter which is chosen, it always
prints to the default system printer (text only one).
Is it possible to set the default printer in Mozilla to somethiong
different to the system default printer? If not, how do I add a printer to
Mozilla that will allow what Im trying to do here?
Hope someone has some suggestions, thanks for any help.

Hi, All,
I am running the fedora core 1 with kernel of "Linux 2.4.22-1.2197.nptlsmp #1 SMP Thu Jul 1 15:05:23 EDT 2004 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux" on one of our PE6600 box, which has four procressors and 16 Gb RAM. The system is hyperthreading enabled. When I simutanously run three to four user applications, with 1.2 Gb ram needed for each app, the system crashed (I have to reboot it).Could anyone help me with this problem?
Thanks,

Gnome keyboard indicator or XKB problem
by alpha99
Hi,
After checking this list, buzilla and google I haven't found solution of
my problem.
In case of a new install of Fedora Core 2 (so not an upgrade) if I add
the secondary keyboard layout (Hungarian) at the Keyboard Indicator
applet I get the following error window:
> Error activating XKB configuration.
> Probably internal X server problem.

user (root too) who tried to setup the keyboard layout).
Here is the suggested log from the error message:

Of course the secondary keyboard layout doesn't work. Any idea?
Thanks,

Re: MORE SSH Hacking: heads-up
by Mike Markiw III
Thanks for the info on where to look. I hadn't looked at these logs before, but I'm getting scanned quite a bit as well.
All the scans seem to originate from the same few IP addresses:
128.104.8.231
202.6.75.195
81.15.119.11
64.246.32.92
212.4.172.123
The user accounts they try to log in as are:
test
guest
admin
root
I would definitely suggest updating any/all passwords on your systems if they are dictionary based.
The scans start about ten days ago for my system. Obviously, the script-kiddies found a new toy. We can probably expect more of this junk in the future.

ksoftirqd
by J.L. Coenders
Hi all,
While transferring some data to my usb disk ksoftirqd went beserk and locked
up almost the entire machine. The only thing I could do was close it.
Anyone know if this is 'default' behaviour for heavy file transfers? Or might
it be another problem?
