Just to be explicit - armadillo in EPEL6 was updated from
armadillo-3.800.2-1.el6 to armadillo-4.320.0-1.el6 which involves a
soname bump and lots of changes:

The project uses major version bumps to indicate API/ABI
incompatibility:
http://arma.sourceforge.net/faq.html
Except for exceptional circumstances this is forbidden in EPEL.
I still don't understand why the Armadillo package ships a library,
since Armadillo is just a C++ template library...
